Hi, since updating to WP 4.7 the Google map has disappeared on both sites which I have populated using the Dante theme.

http://lilstone.co.uk/contact/Do you know why this might have happened, they were working well before the update. Can you advise how I get them to return?
December 8, 2016 at 5:08 pm #305826Hi,
Can you confirm if you have the Google Maps API Key in the general options?

December 8, 2016 at 5:18 pm #305830Hi Rui
Yes I can confirm that I have inserted Google Maps API Key in the General Options for both websites. The API keys have been inserted for these websites for quite a while and were working until I updated WP.
December 8, 2016 at 5:20 pm #305831I just tested on my server using WordPress 4.7 and it works fine.
Can you provide me the correct url to reach the admin area of your site?-Rui
December 8, 2016 at 5:27 pm #305836Hi Rui
Is this link what you are after?

If the WP upgrade isn’t the culprit now I am really baffled.
December 8, 2016 at 7:04 pm #305867That link like the other default wp-admin or wp-login.php are returning me this error.

Also check if your Dante version is this one:

Also try to disable all plugins and check if the page works after that.

December 9, 2016 at 11:20 am #305974Hi Rui
Hahaha, that’ll explain it. There is a Geo Block Plugin which stops anyone outside the UK from accessing the WP backend. I’ve disabled it now, so you should be set to login.
I also disabled other non essential Plugins to see if the map loaded, unfortunately that didn’t make any difference either.
I look forward to your response.
December 9, 2016 at 11:54 am #305982Guess you reached some kind of google maps limit.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3iowe60aqdtt62t/Screenshot%202016-12-09%2010.52.42.png?dl=0Are you using this api keys in any other site? They have limits on the amount of requests.

December 9, 2016 at 12:43 pm #306001Hi Rui
Thank you for spotting that. I can’t believe we’ve gone over our 2,500 daily request limit.
No, as far as I know the API keys are not used in another website. If I get a new API key code, will that resolve the problem?
December 9, 2016 at 12:50 pm #306004Give it a try, that’s a bit strange reaching that limit but we never know.

December 9, 2016 at 1:57 pm #306019Creating a new API Key didn’t work either. Rui where did you find that source code?
Are you sure the theme works with WP 4.7?
December 9, 2016 at 2:03 pm #306021Of course it works, that was my first test. That message can’t be wrong.
Do you have any site install where you try it? In another domain because that one somehow is connect to that request limitation.-Rui
