Why is the text or what Yoast calls “Meta Description” showing up under my google search wrong? see attached. these are image file names in my home page

Vintage-Electric-ebikes-ebikezzz-electric-bike-220×220. Stromer-ebikes- ebikezzz-electric-bike-220×220. Raleigh-steps-ebikes-ebikezzz-electric-bike- 220×220.

Where do I change it to say what I want?

Also can you change the color of the top news bar from orange to something else?

When did you changed the yoast description field, it could take sometime to propagate the changes in google?

About the Top Bar color, you can change it in the color customizer.

Excellent thank you for the reply.

I made Yoast description long time ago. It seems to be showing titles for images I have on home page as the Google description.

I did have to change Yoast version to older version and have not updated Yoast. Can I update to current Yoast version?

Yes, you can update within your dashboard.

Google will use whatever text it deems necessary from when their spider last crawled your site.
