I understand how to insert a gallery using the Page Builder functionality… but is it possible to insert a gallery into a post (which doesn’t use the Page Builder)?

Do you have a shortcode for this?

    Hi

I’m afraid not sorry, you would need to be using the page builder on your post

Is there a way I can use the functionality of JetPack’s gallery then? The theme seems to break that. (A) it doesn’t span width of content, even though content width is declared in functions.php; and (b) the light box script doesn’t work. Seems to be some conflicts.

    Thank you,

    Kyle

Is there a reason you don’t want to use the page builder on the post?

Yes. I need to use the standard post because I am migrating a large blog with many posts. If there was an easy way to migrate a post into a page-builder post, that would be one thing. But as it sits now, clicking page builder kills all the content of the post. Moreover, it would take an eternity to try to reformat all of these. And finally, the posts have a bunch of galleries—thus the need for gallery functionality that works without the page builder.

If we were building a site from scratch, it would be a moot issue. But that’s not the case here.

In the theme options you can set to override the theme’s lightbox functionality

    Hi @ovollc

I wrote up a custom JS function to check the post content and initialise the lightbox for those images. By default the theme doesn’t apply the lightbox to all images with links, as we don’t want to go conflicting with other plugins in the event they have their own functionality set up.

That function is in the theme options panel (Theme Options > Custom CSS/JS)

    Hope that helps.

    Seriously, guys. LEVEL 11 support.

This is why we’ve purchased every theme. Much thanks, Ed.

I’ll give you a shout on Twitter.
