fr_FR.po issue

Hello,

I have an issue with the last wordpress and flexform updates.

On pages:
http://www.weemake.fr/plan-site/
and
http://www.weemake.fr/blog/

The word “categories” is translated by “caégories” which is not correct. The -T- is missing.
I used to correct it downloading and editing the fr_FR.po file from filezilla (Host: 128.65.195.14 – Identifier: haow_methodman – Password: horizon33)

Now, the fr_FR.po shows the correct translation but the webpages are still with the wrong translation.
Could you please kindly inform me how and where to correct it?

I used to use the same process to translate the word “Subscribe” on top menu by “Newsletter”.
Here, the fr_FR.po file does not even offer the way to translate the word ”subscribe”.

Where can I do it?

Hi David,

You need to recompile the .mo file also.

1) Download POEdit https://poedit.net/
2) Download your language file from your ftp atelier/languages/fr_FR.po
3) Search through your strings and amend the translations. Save your file as fr_FR.po
4) When finished, click File => Compile to MO.
5) Upload your new language files BOTH fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo to the folder atelier/languages/.

I got the same issue. If you don’t want to install POEdit, download the file, etc. Just install LocoTranslate plugin, select the FR_fr.po file, and Save it again. It will regenerate the .MO file. Don’t forget to clear the cache if you have a cache plugin.
