How can I use the newly available google fonts on the site? For example Cormorant Garamond which is available on the google fonts site but is not on the drop down list in theme options – fonts, https://fonts.google.com/?query=Garamon.

    1. How can I make these new fonts available on the drop down menu?

    2. Please can you explain about Standard fonts? For example If I use ‘Verdana, Geneva, sans serif’ – which of these fonts will be on the website?

    3. If I purchase a non google font, how do I install it to use on my font options page if I am using the child theme?

    4. If I purchase a non google font will it always display on any computer/device?

    Thanks

    Hi @sorelh

    1) Google Fonts should update weekly, so long as you have the latest version of the theme.

    2) It uses a cascading order depending on what is available on the user’s computer.

    3) You can use “Add Font” button on the font options panel, you’ll need to upload a zip containing the required webfont files.

    4) Yes – as it will be loaded with your site when it’s viewed.

    Hope that helps.
