    I’m using Dante on http://sideraworks.com

There is a significant ‘flash’ or delay on rendering the proper font; we’ve tried using it with TypeKit as well as with FontDeck (the correct font is Museo). The flash exists in all browswers and in all live environments; my developers have spent many hours trying to diagnose the problem to no avail. The site will show default fonts for a moment while the new font loads, and the delay is anywhere from 1-3 seconds with a significant visual flash to re-render.

We cannot seem to replicate the issue on local instances/installs.

Have you experienced this before, and do you know where we might begin to fix this? We’re totally confused and frustrated. ๐Ÿ™

I’m on WordPress version 3.8.1, and Using Dante 1.5.

Here’s a quick recording of how it loads when I bring up sideraworks.com and the delay in the font rendering. Let me know if you have any issues with the file; a screenshot won’t do it.

    Hi @SideraWorks.

Seems like you aren’t getting a finished font load for a few seconds after the site finishes loading. Not seen anyone else with this issue – might be worth asking FontDeck?

We’ve actually tested it with Google Fonts, FontDeck fonts, and TypeKit. Same issue each time.

That is odd. Have you by any chance tried disabling all plugins, and/or asking your web host?

I was seeing a similar issue and it ended up coming down to another plugin that was causing issues. If you’re using any caching mechanisms, try disabling them and testing. I was using CloudFlare and W3 Total cache, and one of those two was causing the issue (I believe it was ultimately CloudFlare’s page rewriting that was the issue).
