We love the Flexform theme, and have built a nice site for my client. Unfortunately, my client runs entirely on xp and IE8 (yes, a state department). After all this work, we hate to trash what we’ve done, and start over with a new theme. After massive testing, we were able to pinpoint the where the problem is coming from – functions.js. Specifically the Load + Ready Function starting at line 1006. We’ve gone through the functions one by one, turning off and on, and found that if we comment out 1010 – 1052, the crashing problem disappears. However, this is where the carousel is being called. And this is a function we REALLY want to use. We’re using a blog carousel and a portfolio carousel on the homepage. Turning this off, however also turns off the drop down menus, the nav live indicator, the mini nav, etc.
Maybe there is another way to right those functions. Maybe I can turn off parts I’m not using. But, unfortunately, this is getting beyond my comfort zone.
I’ve exhausted my abilities, and need your help to try to find a solution. The final version (the one that crashes) is at http://eastendcrossing.com and the staging version (with the commented out function) is at http://eastendcrossing.doe1915.com
This site has already launched, and is for bridge construction that has major traffic implications. If there is a way to pay for expedited support/help on this, please contact me directly – Chris @ 502-758-3301.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention.
Sincerely,
