Hi. I am trying to use the Swift Framework recent posts widget to display recent articles in the footer of my site. The problem is, the widget will only show the image next to the post title if I assign the image as ‘featured image’ in the post. If I do this however, it’s absolutely huge in the article post.

    Hi,

For your post, did you also have set the post thumbnail option that our theme offers?

Set them both and link to that post, I’ll provide a workaround.

Hi. This issue still seems to be present and I haven’t yet heard back with a workaround. Could you please help me out with this? Thanks. Geoff

    Hi Geoff,

In my post above, I suggested a solution and asked for the link to the page, to be able to help out. Can you do that?

Hi. At the base of this homepage, you can see how setting or not setting the featured image in the blog post affects how it appears (or doesn’t appear) in the footer widget.

On this next link you can see how the image appears in the post if I do set it as the featured image. Doing this is the only way I can find to make sure the image appears in the widget.

Here is a blog post without the image set as featured image, so you can see that for this reason, the image does not appear in the widget on the homepage footer.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Geoff,

As I already mentioned, please set both the Post Thumbnail and the Featured Image; they’ll show up correctly and when you do that, let me know so I can provide a fix for the in-post thing.

Hi. I have done this now for both posts. The in-post issue is still there. Thanks for your help with this.

    Hi Geoff,

Please provide the login details here (private reply, only we see it); there is no email address like the one you mentioned, that we use.

Can you please check now? I’ve made it so that the huge image doesn’t show up, since you already had the same image inserted in there.
