Hi – After checking the error logs – we’re getting two fatal PHP errors following the last theme updates:
[Mon Nov 21 02:14:54.594541 2016] [:error] [pid 4496] [client 45.79.210.57:21645] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /nas/content/live/trackslayer/wp-content/themes/neighborhood/index.php on line 1
[Mon Nov 21 08:51:44.971815 2016] [:error] [pid 1339] [client 185.129.148.190:61042] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_template_directory() in /nas/content/live/trackslayer/functions.php on line 12
ALSO – We are running a customized Neighborhood CHILD THEME.
BUT REALLY WEIRD – Somehow after updating – there is now a SECOND Child Theme installed (we did not install it!) however this is NOT active.
Please advise!
Thanks, Barbara

ALSO REPLY TO: [email protected]November 24, 2016 at 12:07 pm #3033911) Where do you see this error?
2) Delete the redundant child theme. The theme does not create new child themes. Maybe a plugin caused this.
November 24, 2016 at 1:43 pm #303435Hi David –
Thanks for your reply.
1) The errors were in the error logs of our install – please advise.
2) The 2nd child theme is not active, btw – spoke with WP Engine tech support to clarify this – so it seems a non issue – they think it was somehow duplicated when they migrated our site.
November 25, 2016 at 7:05 pm #303757The 2 errors seem to be caused by that duplication it’s not suppose to exist this file in this location
/nas/content/live/trackslayer/functions.phpCan you confirm if it’s still there? If so provide us ftp details to see if we can fix it for you.

I manage to connect but didn’t changed anything since you are running the last theme version and I’m not seeing any error. Also that duplicated child theme it’s not problematic since it’s inside the themes directory, I was afraid that it could be in a different location and creating any issue.
Do you still see any error?

lient 45.79.210.57:32664] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /nas/content/live/trackslayer/wp-content/themes/neighborhood/index.php on line 1
What your hosting has to say about this errors below?
“No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html,index.cgi,index.pl,index.php,index.xhtml,index.htm) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive”

1) This is certainly an edge case error, possibly the theme’s index.php file was called directly. Can you disable all plugins/child themes?
