Facebook sharing website image settings

Hi,

Got a problem with the sharing of links through facebook. To make it simple, I will go through steps (please help in all):

1) A user copies a link from our website and pastes into facebook in order to share it (https://trello-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/54b1bb99fbb5f53eb7217930/508×315/f735f107ce684f1e108135f1932ea77e/upload_2015-01-10_at_11.54.09_pm.png). When he pastes there, the preview of the post comes on… It shows that there will be NO image grabed from the link. This is the first part of the issue. Why no image when pasting there, when the page clearly has a bunch of them?

2) However, if AFTER step 1, the user reloads his Facebook and pastes the very same link… It will display an image on the preview then! 3) Why and how the image is picked from where? In this case, the image that the preview got everytime (only at step 2!) is always from this element: https://trello-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/54b1bb99fbb5f53eb7217930/1348×635/e96001638f201a695a73333d56ec2d0e/upload_2015-01-10_at_11.57.12_pm.png. Upon clicking the button there, you can see it full: https://trello-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/54b1bb99fbb5f53eb7217930/998×631/ba4c4ac2a360e3db9c6917359c81190d/upload_2015-01-10_at_11.57.31_pm.png. How can we set this to be another image?

That’s why I asked an alternative from you (since I purchased it) or some other free option 🙂 or just need the default Cardinal linkage to display the image (since this is the portfolio that comes with the theme)..

Well. You managed to get that screenshot, because you copy-pasted the url into FB. And that is all well and good.

But now, please try to do so again (the very same url). You’ll get something like this instead: https://trello-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/54b1bb99fbb5f53eb7217930/507×420/59e8bb56544f352c3328dd3c59f56ca2/upload_2015-01-10_at_11.56.39_pm.png

Meaning: only after the first time you copy into FB, you’ll be able to have image in the FB from the shared link.

Please help us getting the url to show the image when FB sharing RIGHT from the first time (since users will do that once anyways, that’s important) 🙂

If you debug the page with the facebook debugger https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ this URL http://margaridamoreira.com/portfolio/cistus-salviifolius/ all seems to be good only. But, the issue that comes when you first page the links in to fb is not from the theme I think. there is something need to be looked?

I forward this to one of my colleague, to check whether he knows the issue or not, else I suggest you to use any other plugins.
