Hi guys, since the latest update my backend has been incredibly show – front end is still good though.

I tried deactivating and reactivating all plugins, didn’t solve the problem, so I just activated the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme and everything was fast again.

I contacted my hosting company, no crazy errors were found and they suggested me to contact you. Please help me out with this, because it’s really unbearable to work in WordPress right now.

I just deactivated ALL my plugins again (see screenshot attached) and it’s still slow. The only time it’s fast is when I switch to another theme (Twenty Sixteen).

Please look into this for me, because it’s driving me crazy for almost 24 hours now and I really need this to be up and running.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi

Sounds like a lack of speed form your hosting. Yes twenty sixteen will be fast because it’s a bare bones theme

There’s nothing we can do our end to improve the backend speed if you’re on a poor hosting plan

    Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your answer. I don’t have much technical knowledge, but I’ve been in contact with my hosting company and they said everything should be working just fine. Funny thing also is that the front end is working fast and it was working super fast until last week (when the last update came through).

However I do keep getting these Redux Framework Warnings, could that have anything to do with it? And if not, why do I get those warnings? Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best, Josine

Can you try to deactivate the child theme and try again?

    Hi Rui,
Just did that (I activated the Atelier theme) and then re-activated the Child theme, but no luck unfortunately. Or isn’t that the way you meant?

Can you ask your host if they have any error logs relating to this?

    Thanks.

Maybe link me to a dropbox folder with the full log?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Those errors all relate to the hosting environment, ex folder permissions on fonts and 3rd party plugins. Please open a support ticket with your hosting provider.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Ive got exactly the same problem with my installation. Front end is very fast, but the backend is so slow… When i deactivate all my plugins, its still very very slow, but when i change the theme from atelier child to an other, the backend is fast like a rocket… We have a lot of WordPress installations on the servers of our hosting partner and all of them working very fast… Do you have any idea?

    Best wishes,
    Reto

@dcwi @keysilinares – start a new thread so you can privately add your own WP details.

    David.
