    Hi,

I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the <style> tag of all the customised styles? I would like to use an external file for performance reasons.

I understand that it will render some of the functionality in ‘Theme Options’ ineffective.

    Thanks

    Hi,

There is always the chance to enqueue a css file with that css but every time you change the theme customizer settings you will a have to generate the css again and copy it to the new file. Honestly in terms of performance you won’t see any significant difference in my opinion.

    Thanks Rui,

I’m already enqueue a predefined css from the theme, however need to stop the <style> tag from loading/appearing as it over ridding it. I did a fresh install and made no changes to style but the <style> tag appears.

Any ideas how to prevent the <style> tag from loading?

Performance gain may be negligible but I work in a software company so fellow devs will rip me to bits for such a large <style> tag. 🙂

    Thanks again

Unfortunately that is not part of the current theme functionality, and it’s not within the scope of our support to be able to provide that functionality as it is more work than a small customisation.

You can copy your CSS from the Theme Options => Custom CSS into a child theme stylesheet to stop that output.

    Thanks,
    David
