Good morning,

I am having some problems after moving my WordPress Network to a new server.

Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/dante/includes/sf-theme-functions.php on line 469

…is an error that appears every few seconds in the error log in /wp-content/.

I am trying to completely reset WPML on the networks’s Main site “/” but it’s not possible over the Admin panels.

Do you know what’s causing the Error?

An update:

If I activate the Twentyfourteen theme instead of Dante, the featured images are displayed correctly. But Dante doesn’t.

Note that this is only for new posts. The old posts still display the featured image without problems.

The problem appeared after deleting WPML.

Hello,

I reinstalled the theme various times (with three methods: via FTP, integrated function of WP, uploading to server and unpacking it there), tried to disable all plugins but featured images of new posts are still not displaying.

I restored a backup that I made before moving to the new server and where WPML is still installed. Before moving, everything worked.

If I activate the default Twenty Fifteen theme, featured images are being displayed correctly. Switching to Dante again not.

What I did with the database was: replacing all old absolute paths with the actual ones – that’s all. And that db action cannot be the reason because it didn’t work before doing it.

Hello. Thanks for all your support.

The featured images are being displayed only for articles written before the whole wp installation was moved to an own Server.

After moving, NEW posts don’t display the featured image but ONLY with Dante for this moment.

When I change the theme, everything works fine – even for new (!) posts.

I even tried reuploafing the theme in every possible way again but new posts don’t display featured images…

Hi Jens,

It has to be something to do with the URLs used, as the theme can only resize local images – What settings do you have set in Settings > General for both URLs? If you check the media in the media library (the images that aren’t displaying), are these links the same URL?

Hello Ed,

Because I am running a WP Multisite network, the following options I found only in
Network Admin > Sites > Edit “/” > Options.

siteurl: http://www.fosforito.net
upload_path: [empty]
upload_url_path: [empty]

If I change upload_path to “wp-content/uploads” and upload_url_path to “http://www.fosforito.net/wp-content/uploads”, no effects (already tried adding new post with new featured image).

New images are all uploaded to the same directory as before the site was moved and I didn’t change the URL structure. In the latest upload folder (wp-content/uploads/2015/03) are only the originally uploaded images but no thumbnail versions.
