    I’ve tried using Wysija and MailChimp and haven’t found any sort of easy solution.

    MailChimp – I’m not using sidebars so I have no place to use the widget.

    Wysija – Not even really getting where to put it.

    Also, I’m new at this so that doesn’t help.

    You can use the subscribe box in the top bar, just make sure you remove the standard MailChimp form styling – this will conflict with the theme styling.
