I have disabled search in Theme Options -> Header and all is well except that the Mobile Menu still displays a Search.

Is there a way to remove Search from the Mobile Menu?

I looked at the code and realized that you allow for an override of sf_mobile_menu function. I have created an override for sf_mobile_menu in my child theme so this is not an immediate issue.

My opinion is, if search is disabled, the mobile menu should not display a search menu item for consistency so while I have a work around, the theme really needs to honor the settings properly.
