Different Sidebar per category

Is there a way to have different sidebars based on category selected in the store?

Since we have different categories of products it would be helpful to show different “filters” in the sidebar based on the type of product the customer is looking for.

for example.
customer looking for apparel
goes to https://rotatingmassmedia.com/store/product-category/apparel/
the sidebar should show filters for:
1. men’s women’s or youth
2. price
3. size
4. brand

then customer goes to our catalog of back issues
https://rotatingmassmedia.com/store/product-category/backissues/
the sidebar should only show
1. brand

customer goes to art
https://rotatingmassmedia.com/store/product-category/art/
sidebar should only show
1. brand
2. price

I am not sure how it works but I know that you can achieve this, just have a read of the documentation.
