    Hi,

    Site URL: http://manofmany.com

Is it possible to have a different archive page to the homepage?

When going to http://manofmany.com/page/2 it loads the homepage layout but because there are different blog elements on the page it does not flow correctly from the front page with post offsetting.

I’d like to have the archive page (same url as above) to be similar to the category pages with a masonry layout.

At the moment I’ve had to create a custom page http://manofmany.com/blog/page/2 which is not ideal.

    Kind regards,
    Scott

    Hi

For archive pages, it uses the same layout as category pages, they share the same options in Theme Options > Archive/Category Options

    Hi Kyle,

When I go to http://manofmany.com/page/2 it displays the same layout as my homepage however?

It doesn’t appear to be the same layout as the Category pages?

    Kind regards,
    Scott

    Hi Kyle,

    Thanks for your help.

Yes the “More Posts” Link sends you to that page because I coded it that way and the actual archive page looks incorrect.

My question is how do I get the correct archive pages (which is at this URL http://manofmany.com/page/2) looking different to the homepage? As I understand, the settings allow you to set the Category and Archive page layouts but at the moment it’s displaying the same as my homepage. this remains an issue as the pagination doesn’t quite work where posts are offset (the posts from page 1 are also repeated on page 2 in that instance).

I hope this is making sense. Please refer to GearPatrol.com for an example of what we are trying to achieve.

    Kind regards,
    Scott

That’s incorrect: http://manofmany.com/page/2 is not an archive page, it’s just page 2 of your home page (which you wouldn’t normally have), and archive page is like this for example:
