I increased my PHP.ini memory limit. I emptied all the tables in my demo site. I imported your full XML file (the partial file import had the same problems earlier), I chose the two menu items, was not able to set home page because there was only “sample page,” and I imported the Supreme options, precisely as instructed. I received this error on import:

    Import WordPress
    Failed to import shop_order_status cancelled
    Failed to import shop_order_status completed
    Failed to import product_type external
    Failed to import shop_order_status failed
    Failed to import product_type grouped
    Failed to import shop_order_status on-hold
    Failed to import shop_order_status pending
    Failed to import shop_order_status processing
    Failed to import shop_order_status refunded
    Failed to import product_type simple
    Failed to import product_type variable
Failed to import product_tag gift card
Failed to import product_cat Gift Cards
Failed to import product_tag gift cards

There is no site to speak of because clearly no pages or posts were imported. You can have a look: http://www.trendshow.com. Tell me what I did wrong. I followed all your instructions.

    Hi,

I see those are all Woocommerce-related errors – did you have the plugin enabled when importing the content?

Does your documentation state that you need to enable the Woo Commerce plug-in in order to import the existing site data? No.

WooCommerce installed and imported supreme_demo-content-products.xml, still no demo site: http://www.trendshow.com.

Are you trying to import with media attachments? That doesn’t work on all servers.

If you want, you can provide login details in a private reply and I’ll have a go at it myself.

@ubercool – It doesn’t require WooCommerce, but the WooCommerce post types will throw an error if WooCommerce isn’t enabled – this isn’t an issue though, and won’t affect anything else.

The best thing I can advise is to try and increase your php memory limits – http://cl.ly/Mjr1

Do you see any other errors?

I did that already, see first line of first post, but since I’ve made plenty of progress on my staging site, I’m now only interested in seeing how the e-commerce store works. I will do a clean install of WordPress, maybe one of the other themes I was evaluating did something bad.

It’s often very temperamental in it’s results, and changing the values doesn’t always solve the issue. Sometimes we have found specific hosts end the import process to save resources.

Hopefully you have better luck with the clean install.

After I did a clean install, the import worked fine, with media attachments turned off. So clearly there was a conflict with previous theme settings.

    Great, glad you sorted it.
