Demo problem

Hi,
After I uploaded the demo XML I get stuck on this:
“Once you have imported the demo content XML, you will still need to set the home page by going to Settings > Reading, and under “Front page displays” select “A static page” and then select the one of the Home examples for the front page.”

I don’t have any Home examples to choose from, only the original WP Sample Page.

Is there something I’m missing?

Hi,

If none of the pages didn’t export means, the export is partial. Did all the posts and media, menus exported?? If not, I suggest you to increase the memory allocated to WP and increase execution time before importing the demo XML. Try install in a fresh install, if some content are exported, because it may duplicate.

So after some time playing with it I managed to get the demo XML file uploaded. The solution in the link helped a lot.

So now I have a new problem, when I create a new slider and try to import the homeslider.txt file I get the following error:

importing slider setings and data…
Error: Import file not found!!!

Any idea what may be causing this?
