    Hi guys,

Problem is simple: I’m adding Demo Content and the process keeps going on and on. What can this be?

I’ve checked troubleshootings here and there and don’t seem to get an answer yet.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

You have a memory issue in your WordPress instalation.

You should increase your current memory, by adjusting the value inside the wp-config.php file

    Check this documentation http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Hi Rui, our hosting guy increased the server’s memory to 256M, but we are still having the same problem when importing Demo content.

We have also fully uninstalled and reinstalled WP and the theme.

    Hope you can help. Thanks

Rui, would you be so kind to explain to me what actually happened, which was the problem and what did you do to fix it?

We use your themes a lot and it’d be great in the long run to fix these small issues ourselves and reach out to you when actually needed. We love your work, and we’d like to keep on using your products.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This is a very sensitive issue because it depends a lot on server configurations.
This same import process that runs fine in the majority of the servers can run bad in some servers due to the configuration.

Our Demo importer it’s based on the WordPress default Import plugin and it was improved but. The WordPress plugin itself doesn’t guarantee 100% the import success for the same reasons.

In your case it was being generated and internal server error, your server logs may provide additional information but it’s complex to figure out.

I manage to import most part of the content just by running the import plugin a few times. Then were missing just a few things that I exported again from our demo site, and used the default WordPress import functionality and it went fine.
