Is there a way to permanently turn off the demo content plugin? I turned it off and uninstalled the plugin, but it gives the warning that plugins are needed when you sign in. This is going to be turned over to a client and I’d like for it to be as white label as possible – would prefer for them to not see the demo content plugin or be asked about it.

    Thanks,
    Kendall

    Hi

You should be able to close that message

Yes – the message can be closed, but I register a new admin or editor, the message pops up again. Not sure if it happens with lower level access. If I add a user and log in as them – turn off the message – will it show up when they log in?

Is there any specific code that can be deleted to stop these notifications about missing plugins? I tried shutting off the message for a new user, but when they opened it on their computer, the message showed up again. I love this theme, but that one piece about not really being able to white label this for client use is a bummer.

It shouldn’t appear for any user other than admin, do you give you client admin access?

Yes the client gets Admin access otherwise they can’t see the forms, add events, etc.

I just logged in as an author and got this message:
Sorry, but you do not have the correct permissions to install the Cardinal Demo Content and Contact Form 7 plugins. Contact the administrator of this site for help on getting the plugins installed.

Sorry, but you do not have the correct permissions to activate the Go Pricing Tables plugin. Contact the administrator of this site for help on getting the plugin activated.

Also, I can see the Events, but am unable to see the Gravity Forms, WooCommerce or Job Listings.

Or, is there a way to give the Author level access to those missing pieces?

Editors should get access to all post types, and will have the ability to edit/add new etc. The only thing they don’t have that admins do is the ability to edit functionality, for e.g. change themes or add plugins

When logged in as an editor – there wasn’t access to WooCommerce, Gravity forms or Job Listings (WP Job Listings) – all things the client will need access to.

I use this plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/white-label-branding-for-wordpress/125617 which allows you to set what each user role has access to. It also has a bunch of other cool features like branding wordpress login screens, wp backend etc with your own logo
