Dante update

Hi guys,

I received the email about a Dante update, but on WordPress Dashboard > Updates it doesn’t show anything. I already downloaded Dante v3.2.2 from themeforest.net, my question is (as I used to update the theme directly through WP): do I need to update it via ftp? Will this affect the CSS customizations I’ve done? And about the future, will the upload feature return to be available with the next updates?
Last question: I just have 1 month of support left, how may I extend it?

Hi

You can upload the latest version via ftp, you will only lose customisations if you have made them to the parent theme files. Custom css in a child theme or theme options will not be overwritten

When your support runs out, you will be able to purchase a support plan on ThemeForest

thanks for the quick reply. I just did uploaded the latest version via ftp, it worked well. I still hope next versions will be accessible directly by dashboard though 😉

Hi,

Yes we recently switched our auto update service to a new provider, so assuming your not overwriting the auto updates in your wp-config.php file – next time you should get the notification.
