Dante seems to be resetting all theme options (but not colour customizations for example), whenever I edit Footer Options within the Theme Options on a site I am building, or occassionally when I click “Save Changes” from various pages within Theme Options.
This is making it rather difficult to keep the desired header layout, asset background images and copyright text among other things.
URL will be in a private reply.
WordPress version 3.9.1
Dante version 2.5.4
Using a child theme with the only customization being CSS.Any help would be appreciated.

May 19, 2014 at 9:36 am #75807Hi Kyle,
The international restrictions are removed please try again.
http://dev.wanneroomazda.com.au passwords and login is same as previously mentioned.
We have since taken this site live and had the settings rest twice, have you experienced this fault before?
Please advise?
May 19, 2014 at 9:40 am #75808So the settings reset every time you save your options?
Are you sure you haven’t been clicking the reset options button at the bottom instead of the save options button as the top?

May 19, 2014 at 9:42 am #75809Absolutely 100% sure, as i said this has happened more then a few times so myself and my developer have tripple checked its nothing at our end. Please advise thanks
May 19, 2014 at 9:46 am #75811Ok I will forward this to the developer, I don’t want to test the issue on your site because that will mean your options getting reset again which I don’t want. Maybe the developer is aware of what might be causing this

May 19, 2014 at 10:03 am #75818You can as long as you are working on the dev.wanneroomazda.com.au as it is a clone of the main site. So please go ahead and try to recreate the problem we are experiencing. Please note it occured in both firfoz and chrome. thanks
May 19, 2014 at 10:19 am #75828Ok I managed to replicate the problem, now sure what’s happening here, probably a plugin issue. However I can’t identify which one.
However, I can see some plugins that you shouldn’t have:
WP Editor
Add Custom Scripts
Simple Custom CSSPlease try deactivating all of your plugins and let me know if the problem still occurs

May 21, 2014 at 1:15 am #76391All plugins deactivated and the problem still occurs, most easily reproducible for me when changing Footer Options and Asset Backgrounds but it doesn’t always occur of course.
May 21, 2014 at 11:25 pm #76678Hi bodie,
Checked here and was unable to get it to reset, no matter what I did. Doesn’t sound like anything the theme would cause, else we’d have heard of this issue before.. Only thing I can think is something to do with your database, or clicking the reset button.

May 26, 2014 at 7:14 am #77448Hi Ed,
Can you offer any other assistance because we are scared to make any updates from within the theme setting for two of our sites? Due to the fact they are live and breaking menus etc
Happy to jump on a skype call to doiscuss possible causes.
Please note we deactivated all plugins except revslider and found the problem still exists.
kind regards
May 26, 2014 at 7:54 am #77458These are the exact steps I most recently took to replicate the problem on the dev site without any plugins enabled at all. Note that I am not pressing the Reset to Defaults button.
Header Options
Enable Top Bar: Off
Show account aux option: Off
Header Layout: Option 2 with menu below logo.
Logo: The latest image in the media library.
Logo Width: 283
Logo Height: 70
Sticky Header: Off
[Save Changes]Footer Options
Footer Layout: 3 Columns (5th Option)
Footer Copyright Text: “© [the-year] Wanneroo Mazda · Built with <span style=”color:#007fc5”>❤</span> by Dilate.”
Show Swift Ideas Backlink: Off
[Save Changes]General Options
Disable Love It: On
Disable Page Comments: On
[Save Changes]At this point, the page refreshed, showing General Options, and all options were reset to default. No plugins enabled. Not pressing the Reset to Defaults button.
What kind of database problem could this be?
May 26, 2014 at 12:58 pm #77526Hi @bodie,
Just managed to replicate this, but no indication about where the issue lies. My only concern is that it’s very much likely a local issue, something setup related, given that no-one else has had this issue, with over 3500 users.
Have you checked your server logs by any chance? Who do you host with?
