Dante Portfolio and Homepage Questions

So we just got the Dante theme for our website and I’m coming across some issues. If anybody would be able to help, that would be fantastic.

PORTFOLIO
I am having issues with the standard masonry portfolio. Mostly it’s just not showing up. I set up the portfolio by making the different portfolio pages. I put them in a category. I used the swift page builder easy portfolio. I made sure the correct portfolio category was selected. However, I am given completely blank pages with the bottom option to go to the next page, there apparently being two of them in total.

The items in my portfolio are technically on the page, I poked about in the code to make sure, and if I click around on the page it takes me to the specific portfolio page I just clicked on the invisible thumbnail for. Is there any way to make it so that the portfolio page elements are visible?

HOMEPAGE
This might just be a general wordpress question. I’m not sure, because the last theme I used I was just able to change the post and page urls whenever I wanted. How do you change the homepage? Or find the homepage? I assumed it would be under pages, but I can’t find it. I’m baffled.

PORTFOLIO – RESOLVED
Anyway, I actually managed to fix the problem with the portfolio. It happened to be some faulty JS that was making it so that it didn’t render.

HOMEPAGE – UNRESOLVED
However, I still haven’t figured out how to change the homepage. I don’t want the page you showed me, I want a different page to be the homepage. The last theme I had allowed me to change the url under the title. Is there any way I can change the page I want to the homepage in the dante theme?

Hi there,
let me help you!
You create a regular page with the name Home and url home (so the permalink would be http://sitename.com/home). After that you go to WordPress Settings -> Reading Settings and choose Front page displays: A static page, and from the drop down you can choose the page you want to become the front page (in your case, the new page you created: Home).

And btw, enable the pretty permalinks 🙂
