    Only for the Home Page, and not for all other pages, I would like the Inner Page Background to be transparent, so that the Outer Page Background becomes visible.

    How do I do this?

    ps: feature suggestion: it would be nice to be able to change the transparency level of background with a percentage slider, much like the one available for certain types of headers.

    I have no screenshots, since I cannot implement what I am writing about in my question.
    I believe the question is fairly simple in itself though: how can I make the Inner Page Background of a page transparent (i.e. not white or some other color), so that the Outer Page Background becomes visible through it.

    Try adding this to your custom css:

    .home #main-container, .home #container.boxed-layout {
      background: transparent;
    }
