    Hi!

I can not use a custom font. I tried with .otf and .ttf format.
I can upload the font in the font options and after I only see “please wait…” and nothing happened. After 20 minutes still nothing.
    See in the following screenshot.
    Please help, thanks!

    Hi Dan,

Could you possibly provide a link/login so that I can check out what the issue is?

Likely something to do with certain permissions.

Got the Redux dev looking into this – I’ll hopefully be able to get back to you on it shortly.

There was an issue with one of the latest WordPress updates, changing filesystem, which required the custom fonts setup to be changed. We’ve got a fix from Redux for this, and we’ll be pushing an update to fix it tomorrow!

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Dan,

We’re just pushing the update through now, but unfortunately it doesn’t include the custom fonts fix. We wanted to wait, but due to the recent security issue with certain plugins, we have been forced to push this update now, for our customer’s security.

In the meantime, one of our users posted this workaround:

Sorry to jump in the thread but since I faced the same issue with custom fonts in Cardinal here is a fix:

Upload all the font files manually through ftp or your server tools at

    >wp-content/uploads/redux/custom-fonts

It worked for me fine and then the fonts appear on the font lists in Theme Options.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Ed,

ok no problem. I tried to upload the font files with the workaround.
I’ve uploaded the .otf fonts in the redux file path as described. But I see nothing on the font list in theme options.
Or should I try to upload the converted web fonts (.eot .woff .svg .ttf) with css and @font-face?

Try uploading all 4/5 font file variations into the folder, that should then show it up in the font options.

Sorry, don’t work at me. I tried uploading all font file variations (wp-content/uploads/redux/custom-fonts). With css @font-face and without. I see no custom fonts at the font options.

Did you already get a fix from redux?

What about wordpress update 4.2? Can I update or should I wait?

    Thanks for help!

    Hi Dan,

Sorry, just had a user confirm that you need to have each font set in a folder within that folder – that should do it!

Should be receiving the fix today.

Please wait for the next update to push to 4.2 – we are just checking a few things.

Sorry to hijack guys. But also not having any joy with this either.

Just purchased a font for our site. Have installed at the following location:

    wp-content/uploads/redux/custom-fonts/visby

When I search for it in the font dropdown – it does appear to come up. But it won’t actually let me select it.

    Anything else to try?

    Hi benthomas_19

Do you have all 4 font files within this folder wp-content/uploads/redux/custom-fonts/visby/ ?

We’re still waiting on Redux for a fix, we’ll of course provide the updated build as soon as we have it fixed.

    Hey Ed,
Yeah I’ve uploaded the whole font family. Four files for each weight are now inside of that folder.
