Can we use a custom field to enable/disable the Swift Page Builder switch on products? We use a CSV importer and need to enable the Swift Page Builder so product descriptions show up. There is none that shows up automatically, but the value must exist somewhere.

    Hi,

    This setting is managed globally.

In the importer process can’t you add custom fields so that our custom description fields are filled with the csv ?

Yes we can add to sf_product_description but this item does not appear in the description section below products unless the Swift Page Builder was enabled on the Edit Product page. If the page is set to Classic Page Builder, your description field is always blank on page render, even if it has content in the editor.

    Hi,

Can you provide one product example url from your site and some admin credentials so I can check it and figure out if there is any possible solution.

    Hi,

I saved that product and see what you mean.
There is one post meta attached to each product to control that it’s name is _spb_js_status and the value should be true

If with that plugin you can’t change this post meta, there is a chance we can override in a child theme the file description.php where the description is showed so it’s always showed that description field no matter the state of the page builder in that product.

Let me know if you can do it with the plugin or not.

Ok we have tried using _spb_js_status true, spb_js_status true, _spb_js_status 1, spb_js_status 1 – none of these have SPB enabled until after we enter the product editor and manually click on it, and this causes many of the custom fields such as sf_product_layout and sf_product_description to be left blank because they do not exist until _spb_js_status is true.

    Try:

    _spb_js_status "true"

Using the quotes doesn’t work either.

sf_product_layout fw-split does work, but the following swift framework fields do not:

    sf_product_description
    sf_remove_promo_bar
    sf_product_short_description
    _spb_js_status

Actually the quotes look like they worked I just had to move _spb_js_status to the first item in the CSV’s custom fields list and re-upload the header files, now all the other sf_ fields work too

I can’t mark as resolved, even with a new post. Same with the other topics by me should all be resolved but it won’t change.
