Creating and start using Chile Theme

Hi,

I already started my project without setting up the Child Theme. And I made few Style Sheet changes…. But I would like to set up Childe Theme, therefore I can continue to make changes in the Style Sheet while getting new updates in the future.

Could you help me setting it up?

Hi,

Please use the following child theme in attachment.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/lfopdtm27wkgx59/dante-child.zip?dl=0

Just add it like a normal theme and activate it.

Then copy your css modifications to the style.css file of the child theme.

Hi,

the last time when i activated the Dante Child Theme through WP theme, the Dante Theme got DEACTIVATED and it started as a brand new settings with Dante Child Theme… Please let me know how I can avoid that, and activate the Child Theme for continue to customize and follow up with the updates.

That shouldn’t happen. Only one theme can be active. In this case will be the child theme that will stick with the parent theme functionality.

Just to be sure, you can export the theme options and do a backup to the database.
