    Hi all!

I have a complex product permalink and product attribute problem that I would like to solve.

The first problem is that I cannot seem to figure out how to set the permalinks correctly. The url of my woo-commerce shop page is http://www.transferpersshop.nl/winkel. Therefore, for my products I have set the Product permalink to “/winkel/%product_cat%”. I have 3 product categories (transferpersen/ tweedehands transferpers/ accessoires) so when I go to, for instance, http://www.transferpersshop.nl/winkel/transferpersen/, the page shows only this product category.

All good here, but when I use the “category” or “merk” (brand) filter in the sidebar, the page permalink changes to “http://www.transferpersshop.nl/product-categorie/transferpersen/” (i.s.o /winkel/transferpersen/. The “product-category” base permalink which is linked towards, is the default permalink base, set in the permalink settings and can be changed of course. The problem is when I change also this base permalink to /winkel/, all of my single product pages get a 404 not found error. How can I solve this problem?

Furthermore, I have set the base permalink structure of my product attributes to “winkel/%product_cat%/attribute-name/attribute/”. This all work correctly. I can, for instance, link directly link to a specific “merk” (brand) as shows here with the “Stahls” brand: http://www.transferpersshop.nl/winkel/transferpersen/merk/stahls/. The problem here is that the woo-commerce “Merk” filter in the sidebar doesn’t work anymore. How can I fix this?

Edit: changing the base permalink structure of my product attributes to “winkel/%product_cat%/attribute-name/attribute/” also result in 404 not found errors for my single products. It seems that you cannot assign the same permalink structure (/winkel/%product_cat%) for different wordpress elements (page/ category/ product attribute).

How can I fix this all.

    Hi there,

This isn’t something that would be our place to answer, as it is strictly to do with the WooCommerce plugins. You’d be best off directing your question here – http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce

Hope that helps, apologies for the delay.

Solved it by making use of the Custom Permalink Plugin and changed the site’s permalink structure.
