I have set colors for both background and text in the footer.
Srangely the footer text color appears the same as the background, hence it doesn’t show. I have edited this several times and it still doesn’t appear in the color I specified.

You have several color options, specific to the footer:

Are these not working for you?

No they are not…I have tried several times to change the footer text color to black and it always comes through as # 96a336 which is the background color.

This may sound obvious, but have you made sure to Save these changes in the Color Customizer? (button at the top)

Checked the site and the colors that your are using in the Customizer, are the same on the front-end.

If they’re not for you, you’re probably seeing a cached version, because of that WP Super Cache plugin.

Have no idea what that means. How do I correct it?

Uninstall the plugin and clear your browser’s cache.

If you don’t get thousands of visitors a day, you don’t really need caching that much.

Can you make a screenshot of your site, so I can see what you’re seeing?

I am adding two screen shots.
One is the color customizer page showing that I have black selected for the text.

The other is the footer at the bottom of the page. In the lower right hand corner there should be black text that says “Let’s start again”. It doesn’t show because it refuses to let me change it to black and shows up the same color as the footer background.

    You’re right, apologies.

I thought you were talking about text, but that is a link and it inherits the global link color (as you see, there’s no link color option for the footer. Text and links are different things when it comes to CSS).

I’ve added some custom CSS and it’s now showing up.

Thanks! I am wondering about making the color more of a dark gray…like the copyright. The black seems harsh against the green. How would I do that?
