Cleaning up wordpress before transfer

Hi guys,

I’m going to transfer my work in progress site to my normal site in the next couple of days. I was wondering if there is a good way to clean out all the old database entries etc. that may have bloated up due to trying out different templates, graphics etc.

Didn’t know if there was a “best practice” cleansing I should go through.

Hi,

You can delete the unused folders in ‘themes’ and ‘plugins’ folder .

If you want to remove the images see the ‘Attached To’ field in the Media Library for info on whether it is being used somewhere and if not you can delete it as well.

As for the database, i think wordpress does a pretty good job and keeping it sanitazid.
