When I attempt to edit a page in either Classic Editor or Swift Page Builder both of the Visual and Text fields with their menu bars are missing. I can not edit content and once I switch between either Classic Editor or Swift Page Builder the content that was appearing in the Edit Box is missing. I updated yesterday to WP 4.7 but I have used it extensively since without any issue until about an hour ago. Has anyone else encountered this same issue?

I am including a few screenshot examples to demonstrate what I am seeing in the sequence of arriving at a page to edit, then clicking on the visual editor resulting in a blank space with no toolbar, then clicking back to the text editor and there being no content anymore and no toolbar, then on another page populated with content trying to switch to the Swift Page Builder and getting the same result of a blank Swift Page Builder. In this last instance the Swift Page Builder will not allow me to use the visual or text editors either.

You have an error in the javascript console that causes issues in the Page builder.

Can you disable all plugins and try to edit a page again?

I will attempt to do that. Is there a specific plugin that is related to this .js file?

Don’t know, disable them all to see if issue stops.
Then activate one or several at each time to find the problematic one.

Let us know the result so we can go from there.

If it’s working fine in staging it would be difficult to figure out something.

In the production site it will take less than 2 minutes to disable all plugins and refresh on of the pages in edit mode to see if it’s happen and activate again all the recently activated plugins.

I can do that for you if you give me permission. You won’t lose any settings or data if you disable plugins.

Forgot something, did you updated to WordPress 4.7 in the staging site?

Rui, I went through the production site http://www.ena.com by deactivating all plugins as you said and refreshing one of the pages as I went along adding reactivating plugins. With all plugins deactivated and adding them back one by one I still was not able to use the Swift Page Builder or Text and Visual editors.

The new.ena.com staging site is updated to WP 4.7 as well.

Any further suggestions or should I restored a backup from our website from the last few days prior to this issue surfacing today?

Rui, I was able to work this out with our systems team. The .js file you pointed me to had some rw permissions issues where somehow changed.

Thanks for your help – we’re good now.
