    HI, is there a way to add a class to a column in Dante?
    I know I can do it in Cardinal and Joyn and I have bought those themes but the site I’m working on was built in Dante.

    I’d use a row but I don’t want it full width.

    Hi

    You mean you want to add an extra class on the column?

    Yes. I’m trying to give it a white background and some box shadow. I can’t use a row because it only does full width and there’s nothing else I can put other elements in.

    Ahh sorry, you would have to put the column inside a row, and give the row an extra class. Then target the column via the Row’s extra class

    That’s clever. But the only problem with that is that if I’m targeting .col-sm-9 then it will affect all .col-sm-9 in the column, right? Is there another way to target the column?

    No because if you will be using a unique class for the row, so it would be:

    .unique-class-in-row .col-sm-9 {
    }

    So sorry. I think I’m being an idiot.
    Here is my page:

    I want to apply css (background colour, box shadow) to the column on the left.

    A row will only be full width and it doesn’t seem to want to allow me to place my columns in a row.

    Ahhh, apologies, only the newer themes allow you to drag the columns inside a row. I don’t think you’re going to be able to achieve this with Dante, sorry

    Argh. That’s what I figured. I’ll try and maybe use one of the .col-sm-8 or something and not use that configuration anywhere else on the page.

    Is it possible you will update to allow this? Or even just a class in a column; that would be tremendously helpful.

    It’s not my call, I’ll pass it on to the developer

    Cheers. I’ll also make a feature request.
    Thanks again.
