Child theme translation : Cardinal + Woocommerce

Hi,

I’ve tried to put my Cardinal translated language files into the child-theme, but it doesnt seem to work.

I’ve created a folder called “language” inside the child-theme folder and placed the fr_FR files there.

What should I do also with my Woocommerce translated files?

Hi,

You should add this code in the functions.php of the child theme

load_theme_textdomain('swiftframework', get_stylesheet_directory().'/language');

About Woocommerce you should ask in their support forum, they are in better position to reply to that.

Hi Rui,

thanks it works now, except for “Shipping and Handling” on the shop. I have translated it by “Frais de Livraison” (French), via Loco translate, but it doesn’t works. Same issue with “share this”. I have check on the woocommerce.po file, but it seems to be on Cardinal theme’s file.

What shoudl I do?

Should I do this for all the terms in my cart page?

Cart total /crat subtotals / shipping and handling/ order total/shipping calculator and the note could be translate with Loco translate…why?

Hi,

these terms (on the cart page) are not in the woocommerce.po file but in the cardinal theme.po file!

I have tried to translate theme with Loco translate and with Reak-Time find and replace…but it doesn’t works!

Hi Mohammad,

Nothing have changed for me (after emptying my cache of course). I have tried with new cart also. Also on Firefox and Safari… on Safari there is also a bug with my product image (cf. screenshot).

What did you try? What should I do?
