How do you go about changing the name of the theme. Do you change both the parent theme or just the child theme name and author in the style sheet only, and if so does that stop theme updates? Can you please advise how this can be done properly to allow updates.

You will have to change the item name in the style.css of the parent theme and the folder name and reference to the correct name in the child theme style.css as well afterwards.

I’m not sure about updates, I will ask the developer about that, interesting question.
