changing "read more" into french

Hi,

I am trying to find the file where I could change the “read more” that appear in the blog section and on team member section but I can’t figure out where to find the lines in order to change it in “lire la suite”…

Is it in function.php?

Hey,

I’d suggest using the translation file the theme comes with (in the /language/ folder) and translate the theme with software such as POEdit.

This way, you will make sure that any theme updates will not result in your changes being lost.

Hi,

Ok I have open the US po file in poedit, I have translated and save. A en_US.mo have been created but on the link you sent to me I have to add that code
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘ll_CC’);
But If i replace ll_CC by fr_FR how will it recognize my translation which is in a en_US.mo file?
Do I have to rename that en_US.mo generated by poedit in fr_FR.mo??

Update: I changed en_US in fr_FR and it’s working fine.
But when I translated I couldn’t find the words “on” and “in” that you see on blog posts to tell when it was published and in what category…Can you tell me how do I change them in French?

Take a closer look at all the strings available for translation; what you’re looking for is something like: By <a href="%2$s">%1$s</a> on %3$s in %4$s

I’m sorry but I went through the .po file again and again and I can found nowhere the line you gave me or the word “on” and I realized that I found separately “in” and translated it but on the blog it’s still in english…What can I do now?

I think the en_US might be an older version; do you see that string in the es_ES.po file?

I have downloaded again the theme from theme forest and looked at the en_US file and the line is there. So I’m fine now 🙂
