Change language

Hi there,
can you please guide me on changing default language? if i well understood, on child-theme i should have everything needed but i’m not sure about how to change and activate different language than english.

thanks for your reply. I’ll do so.

I’ve another question not related to the language. Please let me know if you prefer i open a new topic.
I would like to modify top bar menu in order to have visible some of entries based on the user logged (for instance, i want to share link to download products manuals only with real customer that subscribe and “Tutorials” entry should be reachable only if logged).
Is this possible using the theme settings or do i have to change the code behind?

i followed the guide to translate but no success… i’ve also reinstalled everything using directly a version of wordpress set in my language (wp-config already set) but still english on theme side.

Hi,

What do you have in wp-config.php for this translation? And what is the exact file name of the .mo file you generated and uploaded to the theme’s /languages/ folder?

For the thing with the menu – this isn’t a feature in the theme. You would need to either find a plugin that does this or hire someone to custom code it.

and files mo and po were already available on languages dir.

Is define (‘WPLANG’, ‘it_IT’); in wp-config.php showing up twice by any chance?
