As I try to find a fix to my url problem I was thinking I could go ahead and get the inshop sidebar to work. I’ve yet to find any settings for this one. Where can I add categories and brands for this one?

Lots of questions now, I know. Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Hi

We use the WooCommerce Layered Nav widget, which displays the attributes filters like color, size etc. These are not categories.

    Please see: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/

Would it be possible to alter it in some way to show categories as well as brands?

Or maybe some other widget can do what I need?

You can have a product category widget, for e.g Womens, Mens, Accessories etc. But for things like brands, colors, sizes, etc we use attributes which you would use the WooCommerce Layered Nav widget. Does this make sense?

I think it does, I have yet to try the attributes thing. I’ll give that a shot.

As long as I can tie another widget in with the nav widget it should look okey. If that doesn’t work I guess I have to make a whole new sidebar, if that’s even possible?

    Hi

You can use any widgets you like in the sidebar, and can remove them easily if you decide you don’t want to use them

This feels like a stupid question, but where do I change the contents of the sidebar?

Currently look like the attached picture.

Thanks for your patience Kyle, you’re great.
