    I am looking to a way to change the permalinks for the team section of my site.

    http://54.79.87.168/about-us/our-inspectors/

    For example:
    http://54.79.87.168/?team=jack-oddy
    should be:
    http://54.79.87.168/team/VIC/jack-oddy

    I have tried a couple of plugins to fix this issue, but it results in a 404 error. Ideally I would like to stick within the site framework to fix.

    There are a couple of other threads where this appears to be addressed, but the conversation is marked private so there is no way to view the resulting fix.

    Please advise.

    Unfortunately it’s not possible as standard, but you can try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/

    Thanks Kyle,

    I have actually tried to use that plugin and the URL rewrite works perfectly for what we want, the issue is the link from the Team carousel end up to a 404 error.

    Can you advise how I can fix the linking issues?

    Hi,

    Try to resave your permalinks.
    Go to the Settings-> Permalinks and hit the Save Changes button.

    Maybe some conflict of the new Permalinks plugins.

    Hi,
    Please open to edit team-type.php at /dante/swift-framework/custom-post-types
    Find this code:-
    ‘rewrite’ => false,
    Change to-:
    ‘rewrite’ => true,

    Now you custom post type permalink plugin. Hope that should work.

    Hi… actually no, that didn’t work. It allows us to update the Permalinks, but then when you click on a team member you get a 404 error.

    Which may be something to do with the way the slider itself is set up.

    Please assist 🙂
