Category icons overlaid on masonry images

Hi, Is there any provision for having a category icon over the featured thumbnail images in the masonry blog? If not do you know of a plugin or simple way to do this? The issue I am having is you cant tell if a post is instagram or a gallery or a video.

I had a look but I dont see this functionality available and just wanted to check.

Would there be a simple way to assign one of the shortcode icons to show on top of the featured thumbnail image perhaps? Even just 1 icon on the instagram posts would be enough. Or maybe there would be simpler way to change the background of the ‘status’ format posts into a different background-color as all instagram photos are fed into this format of posts?

Please advise.

this sure is possible, but I’m afraid it’s not built into the theme and would have to be modified especially for you. We’d love to help you with this customization but we are only able to provide support for basic theme issues and bug fixes.
