Hi,
At the homepage, all the categories and sub categories are listed. I need to see only the main categories at homepage and see the subcategories in dropdowns by clicking on each main category name. can you please guide me through this.

This is not something that is possible “Out the box”.

You will be able to use one of the many available WooCommerce plugins to achieve this though.
