    Hello,

    I recently asked if we could limit the area where products display – we’d like to keep them in the box area. This was the reply –

    This is inherited from your shop layout, it is set here: Theme Options => WooCommerce Options => Shop Options. Specifically set “Full Width Product Display” to “No”.

    We did that and it worked but suddenly the actual box area is now extending to almost the edge of the page. We want it to look more like the second image.

    Can you help?

    Thank you,
    Dawna

    Hi

    That’s just because your on a small screen, it doesn’t look like that on bigger screens, and on anything smaller than yours it will go to the next breakpoint and things will resize

    I think there is another solution. It was fine before on the screen I’m using now – 15″ and has recently changed. We also checked on a desktop computer and it looks the same. So different size monitors are all showing the same thing.

    You mean to tell me we have no control on the layout of category pages? That doesn’t sound right.

    This is how it shows for me on a big screen http://d.pr/i/1dS8G/61gbe390

    What’s the issue?

    Thank you for sending me that image. It helped me to realize that the screen display had been changed on my computer and I was viewing the page in zoom mode. I had my internet service company working on our wifi yesterday and they must have messed with the settings.

    So sorry for the confusion.

    On a related note, how do I change the background color surrounding the tabbed area? And, can we add a shadow to the tabbed area – similar to what’s in the attached image.

    Thank you for your help and patience! 🙂

    I’m afraid it’s not possible to match that screenshot just with some custom css, as there isn’t the containers you need.
    Unfortunately that customisation is beyond our scope of support as it is more work than a small customisation. We only provide support for theme issues, and at times basic customisations. While we’d love to be able to support every customisation request, we simply don’t have the time. We recommend that you seek a freelance developer if you need to make that customisation: http://www.swiftideas.com/customization/

    Okay – thank you. Does that apply to changing the color of the background as well?

    What tabbed area are you referring to? On this site? http://soakshore.com/

    Let us know and we can assist further.

    Hi David,

    Yes – that’s the site. We wanted to change the color of the background on the category pages. Please see attached image for reference.

    Thank you,
    Dawna

    Perfect, for that you would need this, replace the color with your desired value:

    .tax-product_cat #main-container {
        background-color: khaki;
    }

    Thanks,
    David.
