Can I use Modal shortcode from a regular text link?

I would like to use “Modal” shortcode from a regular link text like , instead of the button that comes with the shortcode.

is it possible?

Kyle, just an additional question 🙂
I have another issue with this modal: on the link I gave, when you click on the modal newsletter (footer area),and you are inside the modal, the button “envoyer” becomes white on white (disappear effect) when my mouse is on it. Very strange. I try some CSS code with Mohammad yesterday but without success,
Any idea ?

This is what is uses:

{background-color: '.$secondary_accent_color.'!important;color: '.$secondary_accent_alt_color.';}

Which means both your secondary accent color and secondary accent alt color are both white
