bug on sitemap url address

Hi there,

I get http://www.weemake.fr/en/sitemap-2/
instead of
http://www.weemake.fr/en/sitemap/

And when I tried to rename on the page edit, I still get /sitemap-2/

I checked on my published/private and drafts, I have no other pages with the adress
http://www.weemake.fr/sitemap/

Although when I go on it, it exists.

How can I delete it, place “http://www.weemake.fr/en/sitemap-2/” by default in the english mode as the translation of “http://www.weemake.fr/plan-du-site/” in French mode?
And get it rename without the -2?

Hi,

Regarding the sitemap, if that is happening is because the sitemap slug is being used already. Notice that it can be a category, tag, almost everything.

Regarding the other question you need to set the English has your main language in WPML to achieve it.

I checked all tags and categories, there is no”sitemap” already used.
+, I did not get this this before the last theme update.

the now renamed /sitemap-2/ page was my page by default.

I really need your help man.

Hi,
Please install Quick empty plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-empty-trash/. Delete all trashed items permanently through this plugin. Now rename sitemap-2 to sitemap.

Plug-in installed, compatible with wordpress version ’til 4.0.4
Mine is 4.2.1

I do not see the trash button in wordpress and don’t have any pages, posts, articles in trash anyway..

Plug-in installed.
I duplicated the sitemap page into sitemap_copy.
Then, put it in the bin…

…To finally, “empty trash”.

Went back to sitemap to rename it from sitemap-2 to sitemap.

not working….
