    Support,

I have tried to upload this theme to my client’s site every way possible and each time I get the Broken Theme message.

The client uses Godaddy for hosting, I have a subdomain set up with a folder titled staging. I’ve used GoDaddy’s WordPress Application to install wordpress to the site. Via the WP Dashboard, when uploading the theme I get the error. I am not trying to upload the whole download which is the common mistake, I am uploading the zip file in the themes folder. I have even renamed and rezipped and it still gives me the same error.

I’ve tried the other route, FTP, using CyberDuck on my Mac. Each time the upload fails to upload.

I have even gone to GoDaddy’s FTP File Manager which uses Java and upon uploading it of course fails and gives me a ‘broken port’ error.

Needless to say I desperately need to get this theme uploaded.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

frankly I’d advice to switch hosting company as soon as you can, goDaddy is the worst hosting company in existance and will only cause you troubles.

Other than that, make sure you don’t upload the whole theme package which includes docs, demo content etc. but only the main theme zip file / unzipped via FTP.

    Cheers
