Boxed layout width

How do I make the boxed layout about 1000 px in width?

Unfortunately it’s not possible to change the width of the site, as it is built on bootstraps 12 column grid

Hmmm.. Isn’t it possible to change it with some custom CSS? I think I could do it on my own. Does it has some disadvantages in relation to responsiveness or anything else?

It’s not as simple as changing one bit of css, all of the divs throughout the theme have set widths so that they fit the 12 column grid, if you changed the width of the site then all of your layout would break.

If you add this custom css you will see what I mean:

.boxed-layout {
  width: 1000px;
}

But what if I also adjusted the elements inside the div#container.boxed-layout?

Feel free to give it a go if you have knowledge of css, however we can’t support it as it is more than a basic theme customisation.

OK, but it will be possible with some width-fixes on the elements.

You could go through all the css and edit the widths to fit the 1000px width, however I think this would be very time consuming and would probably break the responsiveness of the theme

Ya, my concern is also about the responsiveness…

I hope so too, however as you can see in the demo it is not 1000px wide and you still chose to buy the theme. It’s not really fair to expect things that aren’t shown on the demo.

The request about a smaller page did also came after the buy. However I thought it was more or less standard to have a couple of different widths. The full width and boxed page are nearly identical on a 1366px width screen.

The widths are the same, unfortunately Neighborhood only has 1 width. If it is really important to you, Dante has a 940px width also
