Background page image

Hi there,
Thanks for great theme and support! We are using a fullpage background images for a visual effect och our webpage:

I wonder why you have set the background css to repeat and not stretch? That forces us to make very big images (2500 px wide) resulting in image files in big size 500 kb even after hard compression. Would it not be better to set the bg image css to “stretch” or something. Then you dont have to make so big images. Of Course it will result less quality if you ie. stretch a 1200 px image across the screen but bg images usually dont have to be that high quality.

Is there a way for me to set the bg image to “stretch” instead in the CSS some how? Then I can use smaller image files.

Hi,

I forward this to the developer, also you don’t need that much width image. You can use something like 1024*683 and use the cover option in theme options.

Hi,
That sounds great to only use 1024 but the setting “cover” does not apply on the page. As you can see on this page it still repeats the bg even if i set the page meta to Cover?

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks for the fix! Works perfect now. Im planning to update to 1.5.3 today and i guess this fix is not present here – will this fix be lost?

If so – please give me instruction where to change in the files.
