Hi –
I noticed that when I set asset background font color, it doesn’t apply and I’m not sure why. Can you check the yellow text box in Alt 10 which should have white text on this page: http://digitaldevotee.com/boogie/?portfolio=the-night-market
[dropcap1]T[/dropcap1]he Night Market owners appointed latitude design studio to create a visual identity that would take the customers through the distinctive pop and food culture of Taiwan with a humorous and unexpected twist. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant and chaotic atmosphere of the Taiwanese night markets, latitude created a customer journey for the restaurant with retail material – including logo, business card, menu, take away bento box, dinnerware, posters and more – to fit in with the client’s vision to create a fresh and individual way of serving Taiwanese street food in Hong Kong.
extra class name: bt0 bb0 no-arrow
January 8, 2014 at 4:33 pm #41146Hi, you can add this custom css to make the text white:
.alt-bg.alt-ten, .alt-bg.alt-ten h1, .alt-bg.alt-ten h2, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h4, .alt-bg.alt-ten h5, .alt-bg.alt-ten h6, .alt-ten .carousel-wrap > a { color: white!important; }
Cheers!
January 9, 2014 at 5:14 am #41242Hmmm…that doesn’t make sense. There is a field which defines the alt 10 text background which I have set to white and it’s not working. However in Alt 4 I can easily change the alt background anytime with the same mechanism. I shouldn’t have to enter custom CSS for something that already contains a way to set that color. It will make the site very hard for the owners to manage.
Please advise why I can’t simply set the color where it says I can.
January 9, 2014 at 9:38 am #41285and can you also advise where the border on the arrow is controlled? i want to remove it.
January 13, 2014 at 11:26 am #41987Hi why doesn’t my css make sense? Does it work?
Which border on which arrow?
January 23, 2014 at 4:44 am #44223Hi Melanie – I want the built-in tool the theme has to work so that I don’t have to teach my client CSS. Can you take a look at the attachment here which shows I have selected a yellow background with white text, then note the attached which shows the text rendering in black for some reason (http://digitaldevotee.com/boogie/?portfolio=the-night-market). Please advise what the issue is.
Re arrows and borders I found the class names to remove.
January 27, 2014 at 11:37 am #44947Hi, your screenshot clearly shows yellow background – grey text – which is exactly what you get in the front end… ?!
January 27, 2014 at 12:02 pm #44961Melanie – I don’t think you are looking at the issue in detail. As I already said please look at the screen grab of that setting (the very first thing i sent you!!!) and you will note that I have set the text to white. So it is WRONG that i get dark grey text.
Please improve the detailed reading of our issues to save time.
January 30, 2014 at 8:34 am #45705I’m sorry, when you said I should look at the attachment I assumed you meant the attachment you uploaded to your comment where you said that… but you’re right, I can confirm this on my installation.
I found the error in the code.
Open sf-custom-styles.php, find line 859 which says
echo '.alt-bg.alt-ten, .alt-bg.alt-ten h1, .alt-bg.alt-ten h2, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h4, .alt-bg.alt-ten h5, .alt-bg.alt-ten h6, .alt-ten .carousel-wrap > a {color: '.$alt_nine_text_color.';}'. "\n";
and change it to
echo '.alt-bg.alt-ten, .alt-bg.alt-ten h1, .alt-bg.alt-ten h2, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h3, .alt-bg.alt-ten h4, .alt-bg.alt-ten h5, .alt-bg.alt-ten h6, .alt-ten .carousel-wrap > a {color: '.$alt_ten_text_color.';}'. "\n";
Sorry for the delay in finding a solution.
I will forward this to the developer to implement in an update. As an apology for the delay I can offer you to implement this change into your files if you are unsure how to edit php.
For that I only need your FTP login details.
Cheers!
January 30, 2014 at 8:35 am #45706Actually, just replace your sf-custom-styles.php with the attached file:
January 30, 2014 at 4:44 pm #45858Thanks for letting us know about this – fixed for the next update.
