Hi guys,
I am using WP Engine for my site host and if their built-in CDN is enabled, the animated icons are not animated anymore, they are simply loading in as standard with no effect…
(link is above)
Any recommendation what should I do?
ThanksAugust 26, 2016 at 10:59 am #289419Hi @micheal_w
Can’t think of any reason why that would cause it. Can you please let us know the direct link to the icons for us to see this? Think we may also need a login to get past maintenance.

There are 6 JS errors in the console log:
theme-scripts.js:1786 Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to read the 'contentDocument' property from 'HTMLObjectElement': Blocked a frame with origin "http://lifewear.com.au" from accessing a frame with origin "http://2ox5b719w5tv170iji16i4gi.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.a @ theme-scripts.js:1786
Please can you contact WPEngine and ask them to resolve that?

I do not see a specific mention from WPEngine where else they see the iFrame issue?

Thanks.
September 2, 2016 at 6:19 am #290282Hi David,
This is WPEngine’s reply:
“The error does not provide us the specific iframe, all that is provided is its in the theme-scripts.js. Need to go through the theme and correct the coding for that javascript to not use the CDN.”
This thread and the issue is going for 8 days now without any solution, I would really appreciate your help!
I am not sure what should I do 🙁September 5, 2016 at 1:20 pm #290580Hi guys, I know it’s not a good idea to bump up this thread, but it is almost 4 days since my last reply and almost 2 weeks since the opening of this thread.
Can this issue be resolved somehow, please?
Thanks in advance.
M.September 6, 2016 at 10:57 am #290745Hi Micheal,
Usually we do not work over the weekends + the thread bump means this has gone un-noticed.
I am not 100% sure why this is happening, I believe it’s a security check from Chrome which is causing this.
I will certainly need to check with Ed on this one.
Thanks,
David.September 6, 2016 at 9:06 pm #290841Hi David, it’s not only Chrome – the icons are not animating in any browsers.
September 8, 2016 at 12:45 am #290990Hi @michael_w,
The issue is, that we use the standard WordPress functions to get the file path for the svg file ( get_template_directory_uri() ). So there is nothing wrong with our code as such.
Best thing I can suggest is that we provide a filter for the directory, so that you can manually set this to be the default domain. You could do this with a few lines of code in a child theme, and we can provide this for you if that would work for you?
Have assigned this topic to myself to avoid any more delays.

September 8, 2016 at 10:16 am #291054Hi Ed,
the only issue is that we don’t have child theme at this stage…
Do you have any other recommendation?September 8, 2016 at 10:49 am #291074Thanks Ed.
Please install and activate the child theme we supply with the theme.
This can be found inside the main zip file you can download from your themeforest account.
Upload and activate the child theme just like a normal theme.
Thanks,
David. -
