Alternative Menu Not Working and Overriding Main Menu

Hi,

Trying to set an alternative menu (with only 1 item) on call to action pages (contact / quote etc)

Can’t get it to change, unless ticking Theme Location ‘Main Menu’ for this Alternative Menu.

That naturally overrides the main menu for all pages.

We’ve set the custom page menu in meta settings, but doesn’t show unless ‘Theme Location’ ticked as above.

How can we display this alternative menu only on specific pages?

Have you customized the theme? Just provide me FTP login detail to inspect it.

Hi, deactivated both and still not working

Please deactivate all plugins and activate the parent theme (with no customisations) to rule out any conflicts, let us know if it works then

Hi Kyle – It works on parent theme with all plugins deactivated – see attached

Then reverting to child theme, with plugins deactivated, it still works.

BUT when activating MAX Mega Menu, it reverts to displaying the Main Menu on that page, not the alternate specific menu selected and desired there.

How can we fix? As mega menu is used elsewhere on main headings

Thanks for the heads up – we have fixed this for the next update. If you need to resolve it sooner, edit /includes/overrides/sf-header-overrides.php line 836 to:

if ( is_singular() && isset($current_theme_location) && $current_theme_location == "main_navigation" ) {
